He wrote about the hypocrisy of slavery and racial hatred.  He wrote about the beauty and intellectual genius of Africa.  Born of a white father and a black mother...William G. Allen was a writer far ahead of his time.
As 21st century Americans, we can learn A LOT by reading William G. Allen's "The American Prejudice Against Color" written in 1863.  Like our President, the author had mixed parentage and saw the hypocrisy that race played when he refused TO BE MANIPULATED by the masses.
